What is the maximum pressure for C-rings on presses when using the the FT-P Adapter?
---
2 tons for C-rings on presses. 5 tons for aluminium rings on presses.
What material are the puller arms made out?
---
High performance steel like bearing steel.
Can other cylindrical parts besides bearings be lifted with the BHT?
---
Yes, as long as the diameter of the part to be lifted is within the diameter range of the BHT and the maximum permissible weight is not exceeded.
In what temperature range may the BHT be used? |
---
min. 0°C, max. 160°C (inner ring temperature)
May the BHT be used if the workpiece to be lifted is damp or oily?
---
No, there is a risk that the BHT will slip.
What is the weight of the BHT500-700 and what is the size of the box?
---
6.5 kg / 18 x 120 x 9 cm
What is the largest bearing that can be removed with the BP61?
---
Bearings with diameters of 10 to 100 mm.
Is it allowed to lift a bearing that has been cooled down to -60°C with the BHT?
---
No, the BHT itself must not be cooled down. Due to its much smaller cross-section, the steel strip of the BHT would heat up again more quickly than the bearing and thus expand. There is a risk that the BHT will slip off the bearing. Even if the BHT is removed during cooling of the bearing, the bearing must not be lifted with the BHT. In this case, the temperature difference between the BHT and the bearing is so big that condensation can form between the bearing and the steel strip when the BHT is placed on. Here, too, there is a risk that the BHT will slip off the bearing.
When the head of the hammer is broken, can I only get this part of the hammer to be replaced?
---
In this case the whole hammer has to be replaced.
Is the steel band replaceable?
---
Yes, the steel band can be replaced by simatec ag.
Is there any official test data for the durability of the steel band?
---
The steel bands are very robust and will not break if used properly. Official statement is not available.
How wide and thick is the metal band of the BHT?
---
Width: 40 mm, Thickness: 0.8 mm
Can the steel band of the BHT be replaced?
---
Yes, the steel band can be replaced but only by simatec ag. (Consider costs for transport!)
What material is the metal band of the BHT made of?
---
Stainless steel
Can I only buy one fitting ring?
---
Yes, most of the parts in the different simatool kits are available as accessory parts, that can be bought per piece.
Why does simatec sell the BHT only in 2 sizes while we produce 3 sizes for FAG?
---
This is due to historical factors and the sales figures are not sufficient for us to offer more sizes.
